Planning
What to think about when planning your garden space
Your garden be it large or small can be a
fantastic outdoor living space. A place to relax and enjoy a long
summers evening, a space to grow your own vegetables, somewhere for
the kids to play, a feast of planting and hard landscape features.
Maybe a courtyard, a luscious lawn, a bubbling water feature or
pond. Many of these aspects and more can be incorporated into your
garden plan. Maybe taking just one or two features or creating whole
areas of different rooms, depending on the space available.
What you need to think about is how you want to
use your space, what kind of look you're after (Formal, Informal,
Traditional, Modern), what textures and patterns you like, colours,
styling and what level of maintenance you're able to commit to.
There are many other factors to take into
account from the direction your garden faces, the soil balance,
materials, existing planting and seasonal changes.
