Description of Fees and Charges

CONSULTANCY

• Charges for visits are based on time spent on site.

• Mileage incurred and travelling time is only charged if visit falls outside a 25 mile radius of office address and is charged at standard AA rates per mile of 40p.

• Garden visits to provide advice on plants and/or design and supported with subsequent reports are charged at £150 per visit.

• Consultancies beyond two hours duration are charged at £40 per hour or part thereof.

• All fees are payable at the end of the consultation

DESIGN WORK

• Design work, the preparation of drawings, specifications etc., is charged at £40 per hour.

• All inclusive fee work can be agreed after the first visit (plus sundries – see below).

• A comprehensive quotation will be offered in writing after the initial visit.

• 30% of the agreed fee is payable upon acceptance of commission.

• 40% of the agreed fee is due upon presentation of the Outline Plan.

• The remainder upon presentation of the final plans. Larger projects may involve staged payments to be agreed with the Client.

• All revisions are extra and charged at £40 per hour.

MONITORING THE WORKS

• To monitor the works (the implementation of the garden plans) a sliding scale will operate.

• 10% of the first £2,000 of the value of the work. 8% of the remainder.

• Payments in line with the contractor.

SUNDRIES

• Plan printing and other documents are charged at cost, plus handling.

The fees quoted above are all plus VAT and reflect prices current as at March 2007 and maybe subject to change.
